Job Description:
Medical Biller Duties:
- Review and analyze medical records to assign appropriate diagnosis-related group (DRG) codes - Ensure accurate and timely coding of diagnoses, procedures, and services using ICD-9 and ICD-10 codes - Verify patient insurance information and submit claims to insurance companies for reimbursement - Follow up on unpaid claims and resolve any billing discrepancies or denials - Communicate with healthcare providers to obtain missing or incomplete documentation for billing purposes - Maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA regulations - Stay updated on changes in coding guidelines and regulations Skills:
- Proficiency in medical coding and billing procedures - Strong knowledge of ICD-9 and ICD-10 coding systems - Attention to detail and accuracy in assigning codes and processing claims - Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal - Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively - Familiarity with medical terminology and procedures We offer competitive compensation and benefits package for qualified candidates.
